Embodied Intelligence Closes $7 Million

Robotics startup Embodied Intelligence acquired $7 million in seed financing, led by Amplify Partners. Lux Capital, SV Angel, FreeS VC, A Capital Ventures, and 11.2 Capital also participated in the offering.

Drawing on recent advances in deep imitation learning and deep reinforcement learning, Embodied Intelligence is developing AI software to teach robots new, complex skills. Using a VR headset and controllers creates a kinetic connection between an operator and robot, as machine learning algorithms – trained to match what the human does – guide a robot’s motions.

The capital will be used to further develop the company’s AI software.
