SentryOne Names Bob Potter New Chief Executive Officer

Charlotte-based SentryOne SentryOne, a technology company whose award-winning solutions empower Microsoft data professionals to achieve performance across physical, virtual, and cloud environments, announced today the appointment of Bob Potter as the company’s chief executive officer.

Potter most recently had been part of the operating team with San Francisco-based Alpine Investors. Prior to joining Alpine, he held senior executive roles with leading business intelligence, analytics, and data management software companies, including Rocket Software, Kalido Corporation, QlikTech International AB, and Expressor Software. He was executive vice president of IONA Technologies where he engineered growth of the company into a $180M global enterprise, and senior vice president of worldwide sales and services at Object Design, Inc., where he grew sales from less than $1M to $60M, earning the Inc. 500 Award as the fastest-growing company in the U.S.  Potter has served as a consultant to SentryOne for the past six months, and has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions.
