Eye Tracking Technology Startup AdHawk Microsystems Closes $4.6 Million
AdHawk Microsystems announced it has raised $4.6 million in Series A financing led by Intel Capital, with participation from Brightspark.
AdHawk Microsystems’ ultra-compact scanner module was created for extremely precise eye tracking and gesture sensing. Its small, light, fast, and energy-efficient micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) take thousands of measurements every second and process them instantly, allowing them to compute velocity on-the-fly with unprecedented resolution. The company’s chipset also fits unobtrusively into VR headsets and AR glasses.
AdHawk is developing additional sensor technologies to create new experiences for its users and is working on capturing and analyzing data from multiple sensors to derive greater insight. Its upcoming products include a low-power, ultra-precise gesture sensor and a point cloud scanner module for super-resolution 3D sensing.
