VeriTread Secures $2.5 Million

Transportation startup VeriTread announced it has raised $2.5 million in financing from Sumitomo Corporation of Americas.

VeriTread is an online shipping exchange service that facilitates heavy-haul solutions via an online marketplace. The VeriTread marketplace provides a venue for shipping customers and service providers to engage in secure online negotiation and commerce. The marketplace offers a suite of decision tools that empower members to make more informed transportation decisions. VeriTread’s goal is to help high volume members build, manage, and optimize their internal transportation programs.
