Appetence is an iPhone dating product that offers the world’s first “slow dating app.” Launched in May, 2017, Appetence foregoes the popular “swipe right, swipe left” matching algorithms used in many dating apps. In Appetence, everything starts with the conversation. Users start with liking another person’s chat, music, movies, or hobbies. For every 10 likes users receive, they can unlock one of the other person’s tastes and see another part of a photo. Appetence believes that conversations are as important as the information people reveal in their profiles.
Appetence was developed by CTO Raul Gilabert, cofounder Juan Alonso, and cofounder Camilla Forsell.
