Consumer Startup The Inside Brings In $1.5 Million

The Inside closed $1.5 million in seed financing from Forerunner Ventures.

The Inside is the direct-to-consumer home decor brand creating furniture with personality. The company has created a new shopping experience with made-to-order fun and playful designs available in 6 to 14 days. Each piece of furniture is custom made in the U.S. right outside of Chicago.

The Inside takes advantage of technology through a digital design process that uses 3D models and automated draping, which allows the company to bring fast design and trend forward items right to customers with incredible speed.

The Inside announced its official launch concurrently with the funding announcement.
