Pro.com Secures $10 Million
Internet & IoT startup Pro.com announced it has secured $10 million in financing. Four investors contributed to the round: DFJ, Maveron, Madrona Venture Group, and Two Sigma Ventures.
Pro.com’s mission is to simplify home services, especially the up-front research, before a project even starts. On Pro.com, homeowners can receive instant, real-time estimates for any home project. The company also offers a nationwide service for customers to submit home service to-do lists, with Pro.com providing recommendations for qualified pros in custom reports. Online direct booking services are currently available in select cities, including Seattle, and the company will continue rolling out direct online booking in additional cities.
In its announcement, the company said Pro.com’s current focus is on the West Coast and that the new funding will be used to launch in at least 10 new cities.
