New Product Alert: Riptide R1

Riptide R1 is a new electric skateboard that packs massive power (1,800W) into a compact, 31″ deck. The R1 has up to 8 miles of range and a top speed of 20 mph, and it includes features such as handles, a kick tail, headlights, tail lights, and an airline-friendly battery. Users simply grab the wireless hand controller and roll their thumbs forward to accelerate. They can roll it downward to brake, flip a switch to toggle between beginner and advanced modes, and tap a button to engage reverse functionality.

Riptide R1 is currently running an Indiegogo campaign, with an early bird price of $499 per unit.
