Mobile Startup Claim it! Secures $2.5 Million

Claim it! just closed $2.5 million in seed financing. Newark Venture Partners participated in the funding.

Claim it! offers an app for people to discover, give, or share free items from national brands, local businesses, and people in their neighborhoods, as well as for local brands to promote their storefronts, brands or services for free to people nearby. The company also allows national brands to offer samples, services, e-gift cards, daily deals, last-minute offers, or access to events.

According to the company, Claim it! will use the funds to continue to develop its app and expand operations.
