Rapid7 (NASDAQ:RPD), an IT and security analytics company, announced that it has acquired security orchestration and automation company Komand.

Founded in 2015 by Jen Andre, Komand is a security orchestration and automation platform that allows security teams the power quickly to automate and streamline security operations, with no need for code. Rapid7’s mission is to help companies uncover and address network and application vulnerabilities and to provide analytics that enhance security and minimize risk.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome the Komand team to Rapid7,” said Corey Thomas, president and CEO of Rapid7. “The need for well-designed security and IT automation solutions is acute; resources are scarce, environments are becoming more complex, and all while threats are increasing. Security and IT solutions must evolve through context-driven automation, allowing cybersecurity and IT professionals to focus on more strategic activities.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, although one report indicated the purchase price was $50 million in cash and stock.
