Enterprise IT startup Codota announced it has raised $2 million in seed financing from Khosla Ventures.
Codota is an artificial pair programmer that learns from existing code to help users build software faster and more intelligently. Codota runs alongside the IDE and uses the learned code models to suggest relevant code. These suggestions save programmers time searching for references and help prevent errors. Codota helps developers when writing new code by predicting code they may need next, and it helps reading and reviewing code by showing developers code that applies in similar settings.
According to the company, the Codota tool is currently limited to JAVA, but additional coding languages will be added in the future.
