TriLumina Secures $9 Million

Electronics startup TriLumina announced it has raised $9 million in financing. Kickstart Seed Fund, Sun Mountain Capital, Stage 1 Ventures, and DENSO International America participated in the funding.
TriLumina’s “Light Engine” is a new platform technology capable of powering hundreds of individual lasers operating in perfect synchronization at exceptionally high speeds and power. TriLumina laser arrays can scan, select, and transmit data, enabling users to “see” the world in a dramatically different way.
The company revealed that proceeds will be used to accelerate the development of its compact lidar illumination modules to enable broad deployment of commercially viable automotive lidar systems.
