AI Software Startup Pointivo Gains Series A Funding of $7 Million

Pointivo, a software company that uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to provide automated analytics for drone and manned aerial platforms, raised a Series A funding round of $7 million led by BIP Capital.

The goal of Pointivo’s patented 3D intelligence platform is to process imagery from drones, manned aerial and mobile cameras and automatically extract critical information about structures in a scene. The company—which has partnered with drone platform companies and manned aerial imagery providers—gives its insurance, roofing, solar, telecom, and energy clients API access to its cloud-based platform, enabling them to solve business problems without human intervention.
