Guru secured $25 million in a Series B funding round led by Thrive Capital, with participation from existing investors Emergence Capital, FirstMark Capital, Slack Fund, and Michael Dell’s MSD Capital.

Founded in 2013 by enterprise software experts Rick Nucci and Mitchell Stewart, Guru serves leading modern enterprises such as Shopify, Square, Spotify, and Yext, as well as private companies BuzzFeed, Glossier, Intercom, and Thumbtack by unifying and verifying the accuracy of clients’ knowledge regularly to ensure it stays up-to-date. Guru strives to empower users with the knowledge they need to do their jobs without the need to open another app or browser window.

The company plans to use the funding to invest in further growth and innovation.
