Waterline Data, a global leader in data cataloging solutions and applications, raised $14.5 million in a Series C funding round led by Menlo Ventures, with additional participation from Jackson Square Ventures, Partech Ventures, and Infosys. This round brings total capital raised to date to $37.5 million. Waterline Data plans to use the investment to accelerate product innovation and continue to support its global expansion and go-to-market strategies.

The company also announced the appointment of Robert Youngjohns to its board of directors. Youngjohns, currently a senior advisor at McKinsey & Company and operating partner at HgCapital, recently served as executive vice president and general manager at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he led the company’s multi-billion dollar software portfolio, which included big data and analytics. Prior to that, he fulfilled a variety of leadership roles at IBM, Sun Microsystems, Callidus (where he was CEO), and Microsoft (where he was president of North America). Youngjohns currently serves as a board member for InMoment, Sitecore, Blueprint, and Densify.
