Exabeam Appoints CFO and EVP of Engineering

Next-gen SIEM company Exabeam announced the appointments of Manish Sarin to chief financial officer and Rajiv Taneja to executive vice president of engineering. Sarin and Taneja will report to Chief Executive Officer Nir Polak and work from Exabeam’s San Mateo office.

Sarin will assume responsibility for the company’s finance organization, in addition to overseeing legal and human resources. He brings 20 years’ experience to his role, including as an executive vice president of corporate planning and development at Proofpoint since 2012, where he was responsible for financial strategy, acquisitions and investor relations activities. Sarin also led strategy and corporate development efforts for the software and security groups at HP and was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan.

Taneja will lead Exabeam’s software engineering team and provide strategic direction on product innovation. His engineering career spans 20 years, with domain expertise in IoT, security, and cloud enablement. He joins Exabeam from Cisco where he was vice president of engineering in the networking and security group, managed a $150 million annual budget, and led a team of 650 people in the United States, Australia, India, and China. Prior to Cisco, Taneja held executive engineering roles at IGT, Silver Spring Networks, and Motorola.
