RaaS Startup inVia Robotics Secures $20 Million in Series B Funding
inVia Robotics, a provider of robotics warehouse automation solutions for ecommerce fulfillment centers, raised $20 million in a Series B round led by Point72 Ventures. The round also included investments from Upfront Ventures and Embark Ventures.
The inVia Picker robot works collaboratively alongside human workers to eliminate the need for operators to walk around the warehouse. This allows human workers to concentrate on more complex tasks like picking and quality control while minimizing operator exposure to dangerous warehouse operations such as forklifts and heavy lifting. By automating the storage and retrieval process in this manner, inVia’s goal is to allow ecommerce warehouse users to multiply human efforts by up to five times. The company’s unique subscription-based model is designed to allow companies of any size to implement robotic automation, while inVia’s holistic RaaS platform seamlessly integrates with any existing layout and software.
The company plans to use the funds to boost the commercial deployment of inVia’s Picker robots and cloud-based RaaS management system.
