Fitplan Technologies Secures $4.7 Million

Fitplan Technologies, a wellness technology company that provides one-on-one access to fitness personalities and their methods, raised $4.7 million in funding from venture capital firms Lerer Hippeau, Bullpen, Advanceit, and Imaginary VC.

Founded in 2016 by Canadian nutrition and fitness experts Landon Hamilton and Cam Speck, the Fitplan app connects 167,000 community member with 35 trainers and 50 Fitplans designed to meet a range of fitness needs and goals. According to the company, Fitplan trainers include Jen Selter, Linn Lowes, Mike O’Hearn, Michelle Lewin, and Brendan Brazier, as well as professional athletes, fitness models, cancer survivors, Olympians, Army veterans, wellness coaches, bodybuilders, psychologists, Instagram and YouTube stars, gym owners and parents – each with their own qualifications for curating specialized fitness regimens based on their own expertise.

The company plans to use the funds to further develop the product experience, grow its community, bring on more fitness space talent, and expand its team.
