Podium Closes $60 Million in Series B Round
Local business customer communication platform Podium raised $60 million in a Series B growth round of funding led by IVP with participation from Accel, Summit Partners, GV (formerly Google Ventures), and Y Combinator.
Podium launched in 2014 to help local businesses get honest and timely online reviews. Since then, the company developed a communication platform that supports customer messaging, reviews, webchat, and customer feedback. According to the company, in four years its Podium platform was adopted by 20,000 businesses that drive over four million customer interactions per month.
Podium plans to use the funding to develop existing and future products and to expand into more international markets.
