nference Raises $11 Million

nference, an artificial intelligence powered life sciences startup, completed an $11 million Series A financing round led by Matrix Partners, with participation from existing investor Matrix Capital Management.

The nference team works with pharmaceutical partners to identify disease processes with unmet need, stratify patients in clinical trials, and prioritize life-cycle opportunities for drugs in development. Its AI platform is designed to rapidly enhance scientists’ abilities to generate holistic, data-driven, and unbiased hypotheses.

The company plans to use the funding to further develop the company’s AI and R&D platforms, expand scientific operations in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and establish nference Labs in Bangalore, India.
