Lynk Appoints James Lin as CTO and LinkedIn’s Xin Fu as Advisor

Knowledge sharing platform Lynk announced the executive appointment of James Lin as chief technology officer. Alongside Lin, Lynk also appointed an advisor, Xin Fu, senior director of data science at LinkedIn..

With a Ph.D from MIT, Lin’s prior roles include CTO at Regulatory DataCorp (RDC), a risk diligence company for anti-money laundering/know your customer, founded by 20 of the world’s leading financial institutions. His contribution helped put RDC on the map as one of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500, for 2014, 2015, and 2016. Prior to RDC, Lin was chief information officer for Forbes’ Internet business. In addition, he managed financial services investment information solutions, holding senior positions with Standard & Poor’s, Merrill Lynch, and Clearbook Financial. Lin will lead technology innovation and product development for Lynk.

As senior director of data science at LinkedIn, Fu currently drives product innovations through creative use of data and development of analytics platforms that democratize the data. He will provide similar guidance to Lynk. Prior to joining LinkedIn, Fu worked at Google and Microsoft, and has authored 50 refereed papers and journal articles. He holds a Ph.D. in human–computer interaction from the University of North Carolina, and is currently an advisor to Didi Chuxing in China.
