Drishti closed $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Emergence Capital. Andreessen Horowitz and Benhamou Global Ventures, investors in Drishti’s 2017 seed round, also participated.

According to the company, Drishti uses what may be the world’s first commercial application of action recognition to digitize human activities—continuously, non-intrusively and at scale. Drishti creates a dataset that strives to enable true digital transformation for manufacturers while simultaneously making line workers more competitive against automation.

Drishti was founded in 2016 by chief operating officer Dr. Prasad Akella, the leader of the 1990s General Motors team that created the world’s first collaborative robots (cobots), projected to be a $12 billion market by 2025. Cobots’ advanced robotics are designed to safely amplify workers’ physical capabilities.
