Critical Informatics, a cybersecurity managed detection and response (MDR) services provider, closed an additional $2 million of Series A funding led by East Seattle Partners, former BlackRock Managing Director Bryan White, and Cigna-Healthspring founder Herbert Fritch, bringing the total to $6.35 million.

“Healthcare organizations are rich targets for cyber criminals, and the extreme shortage of security talent contributes to an already significant challenge,” said Fritch. “By fusing machine with human intelligence, Critical Informatics provides both the technology and security analyst talent to encompass a complete MDR solution.”

According to CEO Garrett Silver, Critical Informatics plans to use the capital to scale its MDR for large organizations, as well as accelerate product development in cloud services and customer-facing dashboards for both their core MDR service and continuous vulnerability investigation.
