Voicera today announced that it has closed $20 million in Series A financing led by e.ventures, with participation from Battery Ventures, Cisco Investments, GGV Capital, Greycroft, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Microsoft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures and Workday Ventures.

Voicera is the creator of Eva, an in-meeting AI assistant. Eva “joins” meetings and conference calls and, through a combination of voice recognition, natural language processing and machine learning, provides a meeting recording, full transcription and meeting highlights summary.  The notes and highlights can be edited and shared through most of the leading collaboration systems, such as Slack and Salesforce, as well as via email.

The recent funding will support the continued rollout of the company’s AI-powered voice collaboration system. The company is also adding new features to the Voicera service, including full-meeting transcriptions, emailed meeting recaps, and functionality for meeting debriefs.
