Roomi Acquires Symbi

Roomi, a leading room rental marketplace, announced today the acquisition of the New York-based roommate matching service, Symbi. Symbi was founded in 2014 to create and deliver a new way for roommate-seekers to find compatible matches quickly and safely.

Roomi, which launched a year later, has more than one million registered users and is available in major cities across the U.S. and Canada. Before purchasing Symbi, Roomi also acquired The Room Ring, a roommate-matching and room rental platform in 2017, as well as Room.me in 2016.

Symbi users will be moved to the Roomi platform over time to contribute to the Roomi user network and benefit from the company’s supply of room rental listings.
