Zeta Global, a customer lifecycle management marketing company, has acquired blog comment hosting service Disqus for $90 million.

Disqus offers a networked comment system used to foster engagement and connect audiences from around the web. According to the company, the service reaches one billion people a month, two and a half million registered communities, and over 100,000 active commenter profiles. The startup previously raised $10.5 million from investors including North Bridge Ventures.

According to an official announcement, Disqus will strengthen Zeta’s ability to offer the best of both worlds with the scale, visibility, and performance marketers have been asking for.
