Software Startup LaunchDarkly Brings In $21 Million

Feature management platform provider LaunchDarkly closed $21 million in Series B financing from Redpoint Ventures and Vertex Ventures.

According to the company, the LaunchDarkly platform serves 10 billion feature flags daily to eliminate risk in the software development cycle. Feature flagging is the industry best practice of wrapping a new or risky section of code or infrastructure change with a “flag.” Each flag can easily be turned off independent of code deployment, also known as “dark launching.” The company also offers SDKs for all major web and mobile platforms.
