Seismic Brings In $6.2 Million

According to a recent SEC filing, Seismic, a company that produces and develops custom garments with flexible electric motors built in, raised $6.2 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.

Seismic developed the new category of “powered clothing” – lightweight, connected apparel worn under any outfit, with integrated electric “muscles” that add intelligent wearable strength and mobility to muscles and joints. The company states that the apparel enables everyone — from seniors to athletes to people with a wide range of physical disabilities — to achieve their full physical potential.
