Transportation startup Mojio announced the close of $30 million in Series B financing, led by Kensington Capital Partners. Trend Forward Capital, Innogy SE, Amazon, BDC Venture Capital, Relay Ventures, and Deutsche Telekom AG also participated.

Mojio’s open platform offers the deployment of aftermarket connected car services, including mobile operators, automotive OEMs, car dealers, service centers, auto insurers, and fleets. According to the company, its intelligent data analysis unlocks revenue streams and cost-saving opportunities, and also facilitates vehicle data integration into applications for developers. Launched in 2011, Mojito enables developers to access interactive documentation and tutorials, mobile SDKs, and a vehicle simulator.

The company plans to use the funding to roll out global networks and invest in its product development teams.
