Mixbook Purchases WedPics for Undisclosed Sum

Mixbook, an Internet-based photo design tool and photo product service, has acquired photo-sharing platform WedPics. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

WedPics, founded in 2010, is a mobile and web-based photo sharing app created specifically to capture the entire wedding experience. Available on both iPhones and Androids, guests can share their photos to one single album for the bride and groom. The startup previously raised more than $10 million from investors including Bullpen Capital and IDEA Fund Partners.

According to WedPics founder and CEO Justin Miller, a group of 15 WedPics employees will transfer to Mixbook. The WedPics brand and service will continue operating under the umbrella of Mixbook, which will help the company with its print business.
