Home Design Startup Brings In $23 Million

Modsy announced it raised $23 million in Series B financing, led by Advance Venture Partners, with participation from Comcast Ventures, NBC Universal, Norwest Venture Partners, Birchmere Ventures, AME Cloud Ventures, BBG Ventures, and GV.

Modsy helps new homeowners, remodelers, and renters create ideal, personalized design by allowing users to see decor within the context of their own home, showing them ideas for their space before making any changes. Users upload a few pictures, and Modsy creates a 3D model of their room to scale. Users can then use its styling tools to see multiple layout options and try different products.

This new round of funding will be used to deliver new product features, and to deepen its integrations and partnerships with media and retail brands.
