AgTech Startup Closes $1.6 Million

Agricultural product and technology company Springworks completed $1.6 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.

According to the company, Springworks Farm is a collective of family and friends that combines aquaponics and other sustainable farming methods to bring fresh produce and green jobs to mid-coast Maine. The company’s flagship farm in Lisbon, Maine, surrounds a 6,000-square-foot aquaponic greenhouse and farm stand.

Springworks said that it intends to use the capital to finance the creation and operation of a second designed greenhouse.
