Digital media company Ziff Davis Enterprise purchased technology news media outlet Mashable for $50 million.

Mashable was created in 2005 by Pete Cashmore from his home in Aberdeen, Scotland, for the purpose of reporting on the importance of digital innovation. According to the company, as of October 2017, Mashable has a monthly unique traffic of 43 million, making it a leading source for news, information, and resources.
