VerticalScope Acquires VarageSale for Undisclosed Sum

Integrated, multi-platform media company VerticalScope agreed to acquire VarageSale, an app to buy and sell new and used items locally.

Founded in 2012, VarageSale is free to use at varagesale.com and on its mobile app, which is available on iOS, Android, and Kindle devices. According to the company, it has garnered members in communities across Canada and the United States.

The startup previously raised more than $59 million from investors, including Sequoia Capital and LightSpeed Venture Partners.
