Trend Micro Acquires Immunio for Undisclosed Sum

Trend Micro Incorporated, a cyber security company, announced its purchase of Montréal, Canada-based Immunio.

Founded in 2013, Immunio’s real-time web application security (RASP) aims to provide automatic detection and protection against application security vulnerabilities. The startup previously raised $7.7 million from investors, including White Star Capital.

According to the company, this deal expands Trend Micro’s Hybrid Cloud Security solution scope, and increases the automated protection that it can provide throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
