Software Startup Brings In $3.2 Million

Loft Orbital announced it has secured $3.2 million in seed financing, led by Uncork Capital, with participation from V1.VC, MDI Ventures, Mercuria Investment, RESTEC, and Shobunsha Publications.

The software startup leases satellite space to organizations in order to help them collect information about the Earth from space. Loft Orbital handles all elements of a satellite campaign, including booking, launching and operating a satellite, and securing the necessary licenses, insurance, and financing. Its satellite operations dashboard enables payload tasking and access to data in near-real time.

The funding will allow Loft Orbital to expand its global presence and further build out its software products.
