Paxata announced a strategic alliance with Accenture that includes a minority investment in the company from Accenture Partners. The amount invested was not disclosed.
Paxata’s software uses machine learning to transform raw data into ready information. The company’s “adaptive information platform” weaves data from any source or cloud into an “information fabric” to create trusted insight. The platform, built on Apache Spark and optimized to run in Hadoop environments, uses distributed computing, machine learning and a visual workspace with the goal of promoting transparent governance and ad-hoc collaboration.
The alliance with Accenture is intended to provide enterprises with effective data control across multiple sources.
