Natilus Secures Seed Funding

Robotics startup Natilus announced the completion of a new round of seed funding. Seraph Group, Gelt VC, Draper Associates, Outpost Capital, and Starburst Ventures participated in the funding.

Founded in 2014 by a group of aircraft designers and military drone specialists, Natilus Inc., is a manufacturer of large unmanned cargo aircraft that cost-effectively transport goods worldwide. According to the company, its large cargo capacity UAV can be operated at fifty percent of the cost of a Boeing 777 freighter, and with 120-ton delivery capacity over trans-Pacific routes.

The new round of financing will allow Natilus to finish design of its 12,000-pound ecommerce drone, while at the same time growing its flight-testing operation for its 2,200-pound, and 30-foot prototypes.
