Internet & IoT Startup ClimaCell Secures $15 Million

ClimaCell, a Boston, Massachusetts-based weather tech company, closed $15 million in Series A financing, led by Canaan Partners, with participation from Fontinalis Partners and Square Peg Ventures.

The company claims that its ClimaCell HD WeatherLayer™ provides accurate weather data by integrating its proprietary data obtained from wireless networks with data from traditional sensors, with 90% correlation to ground truth.

The latest investment will be used to accelerate ClimaCell’s expansion outside of the U.S., speed product development efforts, and support new hires.
