HR Technology Startup Secures $7 Million

Woo, a marketplace for matching tech talent and companies, completed $7 million in Series A financing.

The company’s two-sided, AI-powered agent and headhunter, named Helena, enables tech professionals to get job opportunities discreetly and passively from companies that meet their personal criteria. Once a candidate shows interest, Helena presents him or her to the company and makes sure candidates respond as quickly as possible.

The company revealed that the new funding will be used to fuel Woo’s U.S. expansion beyond its San Francisco and New York offices to Seattle, Boston, Los Angeles, and Austin. It will also expand into new verticals and industries.
