HopSkipDrive Secures $7.4 Million

HopSkipDrive, a ride service for families, completed $7.4 million in financing from Student Transportation.

Based in Los Angeles, HopSkiDrive helps families throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Bay Area get kids where they need to go with vetted CareDrivers. According to the company, each CareDriver must have at least five years of childcare experience and pass a 15-point certification test that includes extensive background checks, fingerprinting, TrustLine registry membership, monthly DMV checks, reference checks, and in-person meetings. HopSkipDrive offers single family rides as well as the opportunity to carpool with friends and save money.

The company said the funds will be used to expand in its current markets and beyond.
