Storage startup Excelero announced it has raised $30 million in Series B financing, led by Battery Ventures. Participants also included Qualcomm Ventures and Square Peg Ventures.
Excelro has created a software-defined block storage solution, NVMesh, that allows customers to build distributed, high-performance server SAN for mixed application workloads. According to the company, NVMesh has been deployed for hyper-scale Industrial IoT services, machine learning applications, and massive-scale simulation visualization.
Qualcomm’s funds will help Excelero expand its sales, marketing, and product development teams.
