Enterprise IT Startup YugaByte Raises $8 Million

YugaByte announced it has raised $8 million in Series A financing led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

YugaByte is an open source, cloud-native database for mission-critical applications. It helps to break barriers between SQL and NoSQL by offering both in a unified platform. Its database infrastructure is agile, scalable, reconfigurable with zero downtime, and can be geo-distributed and portable across clouds.
