Bigscreen closed $11 million in Series A financing. True Ventures led the round, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz.

Founded in 2014, Bigscreen is a California-based startup creating an immersive virtual reality telepresence platform that plans to revolutionize the way people work, play, hangout, and collaborate. Use cases of Bigscreen include creating virtual living rooms to watch movies, playing video games, browsing the web, and hanging out with friends. It can also be used as a productivity tool for remote teams to collaborate together in virtual offices. Since its beta launch in March, 2016, Bigscreen has become one of the most popular and highest rated VR apps on the Oculus Store and has a positive rating of 93 percent on Steam.
