Unisys Appoints Eduardo Almeida as VP and General Manager for Latin America
Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced Eduardo Almeida has joined the company as vice president and general manager for Latin America. Almeida will be responsible for leading and expanding Unisys business in the region, which currently represents 10 percent of the company’s global revenue.
Prior to joining Unisys, Almeida worked in multicultural environments and on international projects in countries including Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Peru. He held increasingly senior positions during his 19 years with Cisco, leading functions that included sales, marketing, services and channels for Latin America. Almeida also led Extreme Networks operations in Brazil and Southern Cone, and most recently served as general sales director at Genesys. He holds a computer science degree from Universidade Mackenzie and a specialization in marketing and business strategy from Fundação Instituto de Administração. He also earned an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
