Threadless Acquires BucketFeet for Undisclosed Sum
T-shirt design company Threadless announced that it has purchased shoe brand BucketFeet. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
BucketFeet, founded in 2011, is a direct-to-consumer online shoe brand. With a network of 40,000 artists from more than 120 countries, BucketFeet’s goal is to empower artists to share their stories and perspectives, get paid up front, and earn royalties for their custom designs, which are manufactured and sold exclusively online by the company.
The startup had previously raised $31.5 million from investors including Jumpstart Ventures.
Threadless will slowly integrate BucketFeet’s online shop and collections onto its website in 2018. Until then, BucketFeet’s online store will function independently and remain fully shoppable through the transition.
