Splunk Acquires SignalSense for Undisclosed Sum
Splunk, an American multinational corporation that produces software for searching, monitoring, and analyzing machine-generated big data, announced that it has acquired SignalSense. The acquisition was funded with cash from Splunk’s balance sheet for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 2013, SignalSense offers cloud-based advanced data collection and breach detection solutions that leverage machine learning. As part of the acquisition, the Seattle-based company will join Splunk’s products organization in its growing Seattle office. Splunk will leverage expertise from the SignalSense team to further advance its machine learning capabilities and its machine data platform.
