HashiCorp announced it has raised $40 million in Series C financing led by GGV Capital and Redpoint Ventures. Mayfield Fund and True Ventures also participated.

HashiCorp provides a suite of industry-leading products for the operations professional that empowers organizations to provision, secure, connect, and run any infrastructure for any application type. Products include Vagrant, Packer, Consul, Terraform, Vault, and Nomad, which is a single binary that schedules applications and services on Linux, Windows, and Mac.

Nomad simplifies operations by supporting several deployment strategies to safely upgrade jobs. It automatically handles machine failures, and provides a single workflow to deploy applications. It also uses bin packing to optimize application placement onto servers to maximize resource utilization, increase density, and help reduce costs.

HashiCorp plans to use the new funding to accelerate investment across its go-to-market, engineering, and customer success teams to support its customer base.
