Near Earth Autonomy announced the completion of a new round of financing from Boeing HorizonX.

Near Earth is a privately held spin-off from Carnegie Mellon University that develops comprehensive solutions for manufacturers and users of low-flying aircraft operating in all weather conditions and hostile unprepared environments. Near Earth bridges the gap between aerospace and robotics with complete systems that improve efficiency, performance, and safety. It also expands the types of missions where aircraft are used, enabling manned and unmanned operations.

In addition to the investment, Boeing and Near Earth Autonomy also announced a partnership to explore future products and applications for emerging markets such as urban mobility.
