According to a recent SEC filing, wireless startup PsiKick has raised $7.3 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.
PsiKick develops next-generation, self-powered, wireless sensing systems built upon its ultra low power circuit design. The energy efficiency of its devices comes from a variety of sources, including indoor solar, radio waves, thermal gradients, and vibration, enabling clients to be powered without batteries or wires. According to the company, PsiKick’s complete “systems-on-chip” can deliver the same functionality as competing solutions at 1/1,000th the power consumption, removing the constraints of batteries and significantly extending device lifetime.
